When you have nothing interesting to watch on television, you can always watch TV internet free for an unlimited supply of videos ranging from television shows, podcasts, music, full-length movies, news, and even live concerts. However, watching internet videos from your computer screen can be a bit inconvenient. Not only is the screen so much smaller than that of a television, but it also limits sharing the viewing experience with other people.

The solution to this simple dilemma is to connect your computer to a television monitor. With the right kind of digital TV, a PC or Mac Laptop Computer, a VGA 15-pin connector cable or an S-video cable and mini to RCA audio cable, or a wireless converter, you can be on your way to watching internet TV on your television screen. Make sure, though, that you have the right kind of TV. Old tube television may not deliver as great results as compared to the LCD and Plasma kinds. Also make sure that the television set that you chose has a VGA input so that it can act as your computer monitor.

Once you have everything ready, what you have to do is to use a 15-pin male to male VGA cable in order to establish a connection between your laptop and your television. Male to male pins are those whose pins are sticking out on both ends, and so it follows that you need to find the female VGA input on your laptop and on your TV. An alternative to the VGA cable is the S-video cable. An S-video signal is generally connected using a cable with four-pin mini-DIN connectors. All TV’s have an S-video input.

Hook up the video cable, as well as the audio cable, and plug the appropriate ends into your laptop and into the television set. . If you choose to go wireless, then you can use a wireless converter. This device converts digital signal on your laptop into a format that your analog television can show.

After you have established the connection, you can start viewing your internet videos on your big television screen. If your TV screen gives you additional space besides what’s on your laptop, then you will have to drag your internet browser over to the TV screen.
